Shahid Kapoor is one busy star. He is working in quite a few diametrically different roles in his forthcoming films. He has Vishal Bhardwaj's KAMINAY, opposite Priyanka Chopra, which is now complete and is in post-production. And then there is Ahmed Khan's PAATHSHAALA, where he has an extended guest appearance.
At present Shahid is very busy with Ken Gosh's YAHOO, opposite Jiah Khan and Yash Raj's untitled project with Rani Mukerjee. Shahid is in a hurry to complete these two films. And the reason for that is Shahid plans to start shooting for his dad Pankaj Kapoor's directorial venture, which is scheduled to go on the floor in April or June.
Though he is working in quite a few films simultaneously, Shahid intends to finish all his work as soon as possible and devote the whole year to his dad's film. The reason behind this dedication towards his dad's film is that he will sport a particular look (which he cannot reveal at present), and as a result he will be unable to work in any other project, till the film is complete.
Sources say that the film is an adaptation of Shakespear's HAMLET. It will show Shahid in a never before avatar and will give him ample scope to showcase his histrionic capabilities. Dad Pankaj Kapoor has often lamented that his son has not been given the right kind of roles, and so this should definitely be the project which would establish Shahid as a serious actor as well.
Here's wishing the father-son team the best, both critically and commercially!
