Nandana Sen can do nothing but laugh at the Randeep insinuations that things weren’t hunky-dory between them. “This has been fabricated by the press. I am happy that Randeep and I worked together in Rang Rasiya. Randeep was apt to play Raja Ravi Varma. Nobody could have done it better,” Nandana said.

Nandana fractures her foot
Mumbai: Noble laureate Amartya Sen's daughter Nandana Sen has fractured her foot severely while shooting for Vivek Oberoi's forthcoming film being directed by Kukkee Gulati.
This is certainly bad news for Ketan Mehta whose film Rang Rasiya is expected to release on February 27th as Nandana certainly won't be physically available to promote the film. It's a presence that Rang Rasiya will sorely need to raise the level of interest among people since it does not boast of A-list stars. Nandana has been advised rest by her doctors for four weeks at least.
Nandana confirms the injury saying: "It happened during the Tips film, the action flick with Vivek Oberoi. It will take four more weeks (to heal)."
Earlier a source tipped us off about the development. "Nandana was really excited to do some strenuous action scenes for this movie and had trained herself properly for the physical challenges. But she injured herself during one very challenging stunt when she landed heavily on her foot. She was in a huge amount of pain and had to be rushed to the doctor. An X-ray showed that she had fractured her foot. The team was very sad but Nandana took it as a sport. "
Another insider adds: "This is not good news for Ketan as he really needs his film to work specially after Mangal Pandey was panned so heavily by critics and did not do very well at the counters either. Rang Rasiya does not have big cast. Randeep Hooda and Nandana are the mainstays for his film and he needs to push promotions through them. Randeep was also injured sometime back but he will be fine when the promotions start. Nandana can't be around then since she cannot move around freely with a fractured foot."
So, will Ketan push back the release for his film? Let's wait and watch.

Nandana Sen’s bonding with Amrita Arora

January 29th, 2009
Till now one had only heard about cat fights between two actors especially when it came to the lesser species. But there’s some maha female bonding happening between Nandana Sen and Amrita Arora on the sets of Seasons Greetings. In fact Amrita reminded Nandana of Goldie Hawn. “Amrita’s oomph brought Goldie Hawn’s earlier roles to my mind. Amu is a totally chilled out and fun to work with–and not at all like the imperious diva she plays in the film! As for me I play this simple girl next door whose nose is sunk in a book, But she has an open heart and uncontrollably wild side,” said Nandana Sen.

Nandana Sen Madhu Mantena Love story | Marriage Plans

January 17th, 2009
Ghajini producer Madhu Mantena is keen on marrying Nandana Sen but she's not saying yes. To convince her, Madhu has now decided to rope in the support of Nandana's parents.
On Wednesday, Madhu flew to Kolkata with Nandana for the latter's mom's (writer Nabanita Deb Sen) birthday.
"I'm here with Nandana's mother having Bengali fish curry with rice," said the Andhraite who's willing to get as Bengali as he can to convince Nandana of his marital intentions.
Now Madhu is ready to go further to Massachusetts where Nandana's father, Nobel laureate, Prof Amartya Sen teaches Economics and Philo-sophy at Harvard University.
Like Shah Rukh Khan pampering and wooing Kajol's father in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Madhu intends to pull out all stops to win over his future father-in-law.
Laughs Madhu, "You make it sound so dramatic. It's not as though I haven't met Nandana's parents before, or don't know them well. But yes, I did visit Nandana's mother with her this week as it was her birthday.
And I'm going to make time during my Boston shoot (for Abbas Tyrewalla's Love-1-800) to spend time with her father."
Here's one love story in B-town that's dying for a happy ending. If only the lady relents.

Nandana Sen injured her ankle in Bangkok while shooting for a dance sequence
No fancy foot work
Nandana Sen, whose Rang Rasiya is due to release soon, injured her ankle while doing a dance sequence opposite Viveik Oberoi on Wednesday evening, in Bangkok.
Wincing in pain in spite of heavy sedatives and her foot in a cast, Nandana said, "I've been prone to accidents since my childhood. I always keep bumping over and tripping into things. During Rang Rasiya I kept dancing with a cracked rib. The pain is still persistent.
While shooting for this same film in Capetown, I drove a motorbike at high speed from the roof of one skyscraper to another but thankfully there were no injuries. Meanwhile, here in Bangkok while shooting for a dance sequence with Viveik my foot gave way. Isn't that funny?"
What's funnier for Nandana is that the injury actually happened much before. She says, "I was shooting for an Indi-English film in New York when I badly sprained my ankle. I should have attended to it immediately then, but I continued to work. When I reached Bangkok and began shooting, my foot gave way. I wobbled and felt my leg become jelly. That's when I knew it was serious."
Apparently, the production in-charge took Nandana to the hospital and got her ankle treated and plastered. However, now the actress' schedules are all in a mess since she has been recommended six weeks bed rest. "I was supposed to get back to New York and resume my shoot after the Bangkok song. Now that's off. And I feel awful."
For now, it's a forced holiday for Nandana and her boyfriend Madhu Mantena, producer of Ghajini. Madhu, we hear left all his work, including efforts to transfer the Ghajini copyright-infringement case from the High Court to the Supreme Court, to go get his girl. "That's why they call him a go-getter," joked Nandana.

Nandana Sen learns martial arts

January 9th, 2009
Nandana Sen is in news once again! After having created ripples in Rang Rasaiya the actress has signed yet another interesting venture. A tips film with Vivek Oberoi being directed by Kukkee Gulati. “My character in this film is in complete contrast to what I did in Rang Rasaiya. It was a challenge for me to take up Gulati’s film.”
Describing her role Nandana said, “I play an undercover cop in the film. And I really had to train myself for it. I had to learn Taikwondo and other forms of martial arts too. I learnt to shoot a real gun too. It was quite an experience.”
