Shahid Kapoor´s Big Birthday Plans!

Shahid's birthday is still a week ahead but, the actor has already planned what he is going to do on his birthday. Sources reveal that the actor is planning a private party at his home with his family and friends. Currently the actor is shooting Jodhpur and will specially fly down to celebrate his birthday with family and close friends. A friend of Shahid said, "Shahid is pretty excited about the party and has been planning it for months."

Shahid's house is currently under renovation. "But he has seen to it that the renovation is completed before his birthday party. His freinds and family have already given an invitation and includes papa Pankaj Kapoor, stepmom Supriya Kapoor, their children Rohan and Sana, Shahid's brother Ishaan (Neelima Azim and Rajesh Kattar's son), his close friend from Bangalore Shriram, designer Sabina Khan, Ken Ghosh, Shahid's trainer Abbas and a few other from the film industry." Shahid hasl worked out the party details from Jodhpur.

John, Katrina To Share A Screen

The latest buzz in Bollywood is that actor John Abraham and Katrina Kaif will appear together in a film called Jewel of India. The film will be directed by Hollywood director Rob Cohen, while will be produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. It will also star Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and some Hollywood actors as well. The Hollywood actors which are supposed to be casted in the film include Robert De Niro, Eva Mendes, Al Pacino and Monica Belluci.

The film demands a high budget of Rs 275 crore. One source from the production house revealed, “The film required a lead actor from India and the role has gone to John Abraham. Though John has agreed in principle, the other details are still being worked out.”

“John met Rob at a suburban five star hotel along with Katrina. They had a quiet dinner. Later even, Hrithik Roshan joined them,” added the source.

Jewel of India tells a story of a student who finds some document, which says that the Kohinoor diamond in the tower of London is not real. However, the real diamond lies somewhere in India.

Kartina confirmed the meeting but refused to give more details regarding it. If all things goes well, John and Katrina will seen sharing a screen space. But, what about Sallu? Will he be OK with such casting? Because there is much talked friction between John and him.

Katrina Kaif: I have learnt dedication from Akshay

She may have been more than just 'good friends' with Salman Khan but Katrina Kaif doesn't deny that she shares good friendship with Akshay Kumar too. In a chat show with Farhan Akhtar, she admitted that Akshay is a good friend of hers as well.

''People think that I and Akshay are good friends. Yes, it is easy working together when it comes to Akshay but then our friendship is not the kind that I could have with my childhood or college friends'', said Katrina when asked about her friends. In fact she went on to add that best friend is in fact her Manager.

She admitted though that Akshay has a great role to play in her successful Bollywood stint, especially when it comes to dedication.

''I have learnt dedication towards work from my co-star Akshay Kumar'', says Katrina, ''If you have good talent but take it for granted, then it fails for you. However, if you have less talent but work hard towards it then you get what you want. Someone like Akshay has a good combination of both talent which he hones further by working hard on it.''

Over the years gone by, her success ratio has been phenomenal with only BOOM and YUVVRAAJ failing at the box office. So, does she choose a script or a director? When asked this question, Katrina replied, ''There should be one strong point at least when a film if offered to me. No, it isn't like I am a lucky mascot or anything but I believe in praying and hoping. I believe and pray that if you genuinely ask something it is granted.''

She goes on to add, ''I don't have enough knowledge of films but I think that a film has to have some quality control at the least. If a director is new then at the least he should have a good and strong script. On the other hand, if a director is experienced that even a new actor with a good script can work.''

Katrina to play Sonia Gandhi in Rajneeti

Mumbai: Director Prakash Jha, who is known to make politically charged films like Gangaajal, is currently shooting his next, Rajneeti in Bhopal.

“I will certainly contend the elections this time,” says Prakash Jha:

This multi-starrer, reportedly based on the contemporary Indian political scenario, stars Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar.

It is rumored that Kaif's character in the film is inspired by the life of Sonia Gandhi..

The film which is currently under production and is expected to hit theatres later this year.

Kat’s out, Kareena’s in; ‘Race’ for the top spot begins

Mumbai : It’s going to take much more than just rubbishing animosity claims for the two hot-bod actresses, Katrina and Kareena to put up a show of solidarity and sisterhood. Going by their current actions, it’s evident that the war between them is just getting messier by the day. And the latest feat in this cutthroat competition is bagged by the no longer size-zero diva of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor.

The actress has replaced Katrina in the much-awaited sequel of 2008’s biggest success ‘Race’. Directed by Abbas Mastan, the film will have real life couple Saif and his arm-candy Kareena romancing on reel. Even though, the ever so eager love-birds Saif and Kareena’s first flick as a couple ‘Tashan’ might have fizzled out without a trace at the BO, that’s not keeping the top notch directors from signing on the glamorous two-some.

Speaking to a news daily, Ramesh Taurani from Tips says, "Yes, we are already working on the script of Race 2. We were thrilled with Race`s success. Theatrically and overseas, it grossed Rs 120 crore and was one of the blockbusters of 2008; that`s why we are planning a sequel to it. Abbas-Mustaan will direct the sequel while Saif and Anil will be retained. We are also going in for new casting with the sequel. Kareena will act in Race 2 opposite Saif. In Race, the story will be different while some of the characters will remain the same."

What’s more is that the sequel is going to be much thrilling and bigger than it’s first part and going by Saif and Kareena’s camaraderie it’s bound to be sexier. Talking to a news daily Saif said, "I am very excited to be part of the Race sequel. I have been offered many sequels but there are only certain films which merit a sequel Race is one of them. We aim to make Race 2 better than the original. It will be slicker, faster, sexier, more thrilling and upgraded in a much bigger way from Race."

Well, with Katrina out of the film, the conspiracy has already begun.

Kat crossing the limit?

Mumbai: Looks like Katrina Kaif is pushing herself to deliver the best. Very recently she did back-to-back shooting schedules which lasted for almost 20 hours.

The actress was shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The shoot got over around 1:30am. After this Katrina rushed to a photo shoot for Prakash Jha's Rajniti at around 2am. She never complained that she was tired and did not insist even once on a break.

Her professionalism seemed to have bowled over the film's unit. A source close to Katrina said: "Recently Katrina shot for Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani continuously without a break and after completing the shoot she rushed to do a photo session for the movie Rajniti at 2am. People at the photo session were shocked at her stamina for work, as they were wondering whether she would be able to make it after such a hectic schedule."

The insider added: "But finally Kats made it. The outcome of the photo session, one has to wait and watch. The actress was on toes for around 20 hours and no one heard even a word of complaint from her."

When contacted, Katrina's confirmation was short: "Life should be like this. Always busy."

We only hope Kats does not stress herself too much.

"Abhi hamari mehendi ka rang bhi nahi utra tha"- Katrina Kaif

Katrina is calling for justice and goes on to say at an election rally, "Abhi hamari mehendi ka rang bhi nahi utra tha ki use berahmi se ujad diya gaya! " The crowd responds by saying, "Indu behen zindabad."

Well, don't be confused, Katrina has not joined any political party, rather this is for a scene from Prakash Jha's upcoming multistarrer, Rajniti and the venue is the Madhya Pradesh capital, Bhopal.

The shooting of the film is on in full swing and on Sunday, Katrina was shown addressing a political rally from a podium and mouthing the above hard-hitting dialogues. She was later joined on stage by Nana Patekar.

As per out local sources in Bhopal, the shooting commenced early in the morning at 6 am and continued till late in the afternoon.

Katrina will not act with Salman

Katrina Kaif will leave the opportunity to act with Salman Khan. The film in question is Ajay Devgan next home production to be directed by Rohit Shetty, the man behind the comedies Golmaal, Sunday and Golmaal Returns. Katrina has cited dates problem for not accepting the offer. If Kat accepts the offer then she will get to act alongside beau Salman. But after the fallout of Yuvraaj and most importantly due to dates problem, she is bound to say no.

Her spokesperson clarifies, "it is unfortunate but Katrina will not be able to do the project, she's tied up with her other commitments and dates were a big hassle. Hence she will not be doing Rohit Shetty's film". Ajay will also share screen space with Salman in his untitled film. It is known that both developed a good relationship on the set of London Dreams and it was during this time that Ajay Devgan had expressed his wish to Salman Khan to cast Katrina in his next home production.

Salman and Ajay were last seen together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. In that flick, they did not get much scope to share the same screen but came to know each other better and developed a good rapport during London Dreams.

Mumbai : Salman Khan presents yet another shocker to all the movie buffs and fans waiting for the release of his much-anticipated and controversial flick, ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’. News has it that Salman is not the lead actor of the flick and is only doing a guest appearance for his brother’s home production.

‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’ which was earlier titled ‘Mr And Mrs Khanna’ has been in news for long. To start off - there was the famous Khan spat between Shah Rukh and Salman at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash because Shah Rukh refused a cameo role in the movie. Since then, cast of the movie has been altered and Salman is rumoured to be just doing a cameo role. Much ado about nothing!

It was reported that Kareena had agreed to the offer because of her amity with Salman, and Preity too had agreed for a cameo for good friend and debutante director Prem Soni. And, Salman agreed to the role for his brother – Sohail Khan.

The Sohail Khan’s production flick might not be in for big bucks but certainly promises to be one helluva entertainer!

"When I marry the world will know", Katrina Kaif

Many times news of Katrina getting married to beau Salman Khan erupted but every time, it turned out to be a great joke. Recently when a Marathi daily published another such type of news and making it even stronger by quoting Salman’s father Salim Khan, Katrina reacted strongly and denied any such type of happening and asked the media to clear up the news.

Regarding the rumor, she says, "It's complete rubbish. When I marry the world will know. Right now I've no such plans." Katrina remarked about media frequently making their marriage a breaking news, "That's bound to happen. If you're a public figure and at the end of the day neither of the party is clarifying anything, there's bound to be a lot of speculation and unnecessary comment. But I'm not going to get provoked into giving explanations. Because once they start, they never end."

Katrina had a high expectation from Yuvraaj but everything shattered when the film fail to spell magic and she felt little disheartened as her combination with beau Salman Khan did not work. Currently, she is shooting with Ranbir Kapoor for Rajkumar Santhoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani.

Katrina Kaif denies doing Ajay Devgan’s home production

Recently a famous Mumbai tabloid had broke out the news that Katrina Kaif had agreed to be part of director Rohit Shetty’s next film to be produced by Shetty’s good friend and actor Ajay Devgan. Given the fact that Shetty has directed comedies like Golmaal, Sunday and Golmaal Returns, it was a forgone conclusion that his film for Devgan’s production house would also be a comedy.

Apparently, Devgan thought of roping in Katrina after he and Salman Khan bonded like thick buddies on the sets of London Dreams. Unit-members had revealed that the stars who had earlier done a film like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam but unfortunately had not many scenes together, but on the sets of London Dreams the two actors developed a great rapport between them. It was during this time that Ajay Devgan expressed his wish to Salman Khan to cast Katrina in his next home production.

Director Rohit Shetty’s last venture Golmaal Returns was a big hit and Katrina has been a hit in comedy ventures with Akshay Kumar. So it was the apt choice. But now Katrina has had to let go of the film.

Reasons cited were her busy schedule. According to Katrina’s spokesperson, due to lack of dates and her tight schedule, unfortunately, she won’t be part of the project. Her spokesperson clarifies, “It is unfortunate but Katrina will not be able to do the project, she’s tied up with her other commitments and dates were a big hassle. Hence she will not be doing Rohit Shetty’s film”.

Katrina gets serious for 'Rajniti'

After playing the glamorous heroine at least a hundred times during her rise to fame, Katrina Kaif is hoping that 2009 will change her image. By accepting roles in New York, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rajniti, Katrina has taken on meatier characters which will hopefully allow her to prove herself as an actress, not a Barbie doll.

In Prakash Jha's Rajniti, Katrina is completely letting go of her glamorous image in order to effectively carry off her role.

"My role in Rajniti has different shades - I start off as a particular way and end up as a completely changed persona. The character is immensely challenging and it is a huge responsibility to carry off such a character," she told Mumbai Mirror.

The director himself has taken such a keen interest in her characterization that Katrina claims he is even choosing fabrics for her character to wear. She is also undergoing voice modulation since she is required to speak a certain way towards the end of the film.

In this political drama which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgan amongst others, let's hope Katrina Kaif can hold her own.

Katrina to spend Valentine’s Day with Ranbir; Salman chooses Asin!

Mumbai : According to the latest B-town revelation, leggy beauty Katrina Kaif and her beau Salman Khan are not going to celebrate Valentine`s Day together but with two different people. Reports suggest that while Katrina would be spending the V-Day with none other than Ranbir Kapoor, Salman, on the other hand, would have Asin for company.

Before you let your imagination run wild, let’s clarify that Katrina and Ranbir are not planning a special Valentine’s Day celebration together. It’s just that the actors who are presently working for their upcoming venture, ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’ in Turkey, would be shooting for the same on the V-Day as well.

However, grapevine has it that Ranbir does have plans to surprise co-star Katrina by arranging an intimate dinner.

On the other hand, possessive beau Salman seems to be proving to Kat that he’s equally busy on the special occasion, for the actor would reportedly be shooting for his upcoming venture ‘London Dreams’ with much appreciated co-star Asin.

New Buddies in B-Town

There is a buzz in B-Town that Katrina Kaif has signed a film opposite Ajay Devgan. The rumour also suggests that the film will be Ajay's home production and will be directed by Rohit Shetty. We will need to wait and see if the information turns out to be true.

If the news be true, then we can assume that this new development came through due to the new found friendship of Ajay and Salman Khan. According to reports, both the leading men were having a great time in each other's company during the shoot of Vipul Shah's 'London Dreams'.

It is said that Ajay and Salman came to know about each other more during the shoot of this eagerly awaited flick and used to hang out a lot. Ajay is known to play pranks during the shoot.

Salman seems to have joined Ajay in having fun, have a smoke between the shots and share drinks after the day's work. Ajay is said to have got completely surprised after knowing that in spite of the cold weather Salman is totally avoiding alcohol during the Chandigarh schedule.

If the intended film becomes a reality, it will be Ajay's and Kat's first time onscreen pairing which is going to be the curiosity factor.

Katrina Kaif Inaugurates a Spa

Katrina Kaif, flying high after the success of her films, is among the top actresses in Bollywood. So who would be better to launch a spa than the pretty girl Katrina?

Speaking at the event Katrina talks about the spa and recommends it as the ideal way to relax. With a glowing complexion like hers, she surely follows her own advice to the hilt.

"What they're trying to do here is blend modern technology with Ayurvedic principles and treatments. It is important not to mislead people... It is important to explain to your clientele exactly what this spa is about, and this is a place you come to now and then for physical treatment as well as for mental relaxation; it's an entire experience," reveals Katrina.

Now we wonder if this is where we can find Katrina after she gets off the sets following a grueling day's work. Any guesses?

Katrina Steals The Nakshatra Deal from Ash

Katrina Kaif has now officially replaced Aishwarya Rai as the glam-doll of Bollywood. Nakshatra jewelers have now shifted their loyalties from Ash to Katrina. They chose Katrina over other contenders i.e. Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Surprisingly she was signed for a much higher price than what Ash got. Guess 24 year-old Katrina Kaif looks more promising than 34 year old Aishwarya Rai.

It was an unintentional blow but a blow it was when Ranbir Kapoor hit right on Katrina Kaif’s nose leaving the delicate lady bleeding. It all happened on the sets of the Rajkumar Santoshi film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’.

This Monday evening, the stars of the film were shooting a chase sequence at an elaborate set created at Madh Island. Ranbir and Katrina were supposed to be running away from some goons and when Ranbir needed to suddenly turn around during the shoot, his hand inadvertently hit Katrina on her face and the delicate actress was left with a bleeding nose.

According to reports, Ranbir immediately apologized to the actress, but she took no offence because she knew the blow wasn’t intended. However, Katrina was in pain and had to be given first-aid on the sets. A worried Santoshi called off shooting for the day. The next day, too, Santoshi did not shoot the film but used the free time to do some decoration on the sets.

Well, all Ranbir is doing at present is keeping his fingers crossed so the Sallu Bhai (who is just too possessive about his girlfriend) does not take it as an intentional offence!

Kat, Bebo to rock at Miss India pageant

Miss India Worldwide pageant 2009 is going to be a combination of glitz, glamour and talent. More glamour will be added to the show by serene beauty Katrina Kaif and ravishing Kareena Kapoor and they will be joined by sultry Yana Gupta. They will set the stage on fire by their dynamic performance.

Bollywood actor Deepak Tijori whose company is hosting the show with Kaleidovision, said at a press conference: "There will be a mix of beauty, talent and glamour at the finale of the pageant, with Bollywood beauties shaking a leg with the participants. It will be an evening to remember."

Before the finale, the 20 finalists will go through a 10 days question and answer session. Mehar Bhasin, who will look after the grooming of the contestants has been quoted as saying: "Training is not going to be a cakewalk for them. They will have to go through a tough and hectic regime of around 14 hours a day, which means they cannot take it easy."

Beauty expert Blossom and Samantha Kochhar will take care of the beauty and hair of the contestants while designer duo Rahul and Rohit Gandhi of the label Cue will design their outfits.
