Ranbir and Deepika’s sizzling hot make out session in cinema hall

February 10th, 2009

Mumbai : As the newly matured lovebirds Kareena and her Saifu settle down for a work-some Valentine’s Day, it’s the young Kapoor lad Ranbir Kapoor and his ladylove Deepika Padukone, who are painting the town red with their no-holds-bar public display of affection.

The couple that is infamous for their famous airport hugs, candle light dinners and mushy romantic rendezvous have broken all their wild, cheesy intimate records as they have now been spotted ‘making out’ in a cinema hall.

The duo that had been hitting headlines for their tiffs and fights seems to have now made peace with their hot make out session. According to sources, the duo was spotted in a foul mood at a Juhu multiplez.

Seemingly angry at each other, the two once again seemed to be having a lover’s tiff. But once the lights dimmed, the couple got talking and had body-to-body chat.

A news daily quoted an eyewitness as saying, "It was a late-night show for Marley and Me. The hall had only a handful of people present. Ranbir and Deepika got the best seats in the house right in the last row in the corner with ample privacy. The couple looked a little distant. At some point, they began talking and then made up and made out. The people who were present at the screening at some point screamed at them to `get a room`, which was ignored by Ranbir."

Well, what can we say but love is in the air and at all the secluded joints.

Katrina happy to have missed CC2C

Chandni Chowk to China hasn't proved to be a pleasant experience for Mr. Khiladi. The movie got a thrashing at the box office and got creatively slammed as well. So much so that he might lose his new Kinng Kumar title as well. The buzz is that Akki's remuneration too has fallen. It has been said that Ratan Jain, who's producing his next movie, is demanding a cut. Quite understandably so. But Kinng Kumar is in no mood to accept that and is not taking the criticism sportingly.

Rumour has it that Akki's lucky jodidaar Katrina Kaif is happy about having escaped the torturous flick. Not that she was always happy about it. In the beginning she must have despised being overshadowed by Deepika. That explains why she suddenly got very friendly with her boyfriend Ranbir as well. Actually Kat was the first choice for the double role but Kinng Kumar overconfident after his success felt that she would not look Chinese enough.

So Deepika was signed on and the movie turned out to be a disaster putting doubts on the Akki- Deepika pairing. Deepika though hasn't been too unhappy about the whole thing. In fact she's been going around saying that her Chinese look has started a new trend.

But Akki sure is unhappy about the whole thing. But that doesn't mean Kat stands to gain again. He's now considering Sonam Kapoor as his new jodidaar for one of his next films to be directed by David Dhawan's son Rohit. Well, Akki wants to be seen with someone fresh every time. Kat and Dips, please understand that.

Deepika out Sonam in

January 21st, 2009

There's something spicy always revolving around the heroines of 'OSO' and 'Saawariya'. Yeah! These missies had their debut flicks hitting screens on the same time and indeed got professionally pitched at each other. Perhaps, the youngest 'Kapoor' had himself involved with stories cooked between them. And now, it's Akshay Kumar having his turn.

Akki wasn't so elated pairing up with Deepika, as the results for CC2C weren't commendable. Much before that his forthcoming flick 'Come On… Pappu' had no female lead finalized. Buzz has it that Akshay Kumar would be roping in Deepika if things work out well with Chandni Chowk. But as things didn't go as expected, exit Deepika and Enter Sonam into the scene.

Directed by Rohit Dhawan (Son of David Dhawan), the 90-Crore project is produced as a joint venture of Percept Pictures Company and Akshay Kumar. A comedy on its genre, the film is about relationships between the protagonist (Akshay) and a chimpanzee.

'Come On… Pappu' will start rolling from mid-August.

Let's hope that Akshay's decision to change heroines brings him luck in this flick!

Saif and Deepika Padukone in Love Aaj Kal

January 21st, 2009

Saif Ali Khan and Imtiaz Ali are smiling these days. After tearing their hair out to come up with a title for Saif’s home production co-starring Deepika Padukone, they have finally come up with a title that suits the film. It’s Love Aaj Kal.

Our source close to Saif said, “Imtiaz and Saif couldn’t arrive at a decision as far as naming the film was concerned. So they decided to go ahead with their shooting and brainstorm about the film’s name later.

Eventually they both were so hassled that Saif thought of holding a contest inviting the audience to suggest a suitable name for their film.”

After the film’s shooting, Imtiaz and Saif had to eventually sit down for a brainstorming session. The source added, “The duo came up with different names.

After a lot of deliberation and thought, Imtiaz decided to call the film, Aaj Aur Kal, but was still apprehensive about it. Imtiaz wanted to change the title from Aaj Aur Kal to Aaj Kal.

But Saif disagreed with him saying that he wanted a title that would instantly connect with the audience, like Jab We Met. They then decided on Love Aaj Kal.”

Though Imtiaz remained unavailable for comment, a source close to the director confirmed the news and said, “Yes Imtiaz has decided to call the film Love Aaj Kal.”

Deepika was six when she first saw her first Akshay-movie

January 18th, 2009

‘Chandni Chowk To China’ boasts of two of the latest hot-properties of Bollywood - Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone. While the former has an impressive experience behind him to add the required punch to his one-liners or his kicks, Deepika has the freshness of a winter rose. But the age-gap between the two leading actors was only fully realised when Deepika made an interesting revelation.

“I was just six when I watched Akshay’s ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’!” Deepika said to a news daily.Talking about this discrepancy, Akshay joked, “The other day I was telling Karisma, who was my first heroine, that I want to play hero opposite her daughter Samaira.”

Considering that Khiladi Akshay was already a pro in the Industry at that time, he might as well belong to a higher generation. So much for the generation gap!

Saif Ali’s title blues continue

January 15th, 2009

Saif Ali Khan’s first home production, starring himself opposite Deepika Padukone has completed shooting but it is still yet to be given an apt title. It seems the Chote Nawab, Imtiaz Ali and title confusions go hand in hand nowadays as one can clearly remember Saif’s last release, Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic too faced a similar probled and was given its title just weeks before its release. Whereas Imtiaz’s last directed film, Jab We Met to had a title fixation problem and a online poll was introduced to finalize the title.

Saif’s maiden production venture, a romantic comedy directed by Imtiaz Ali is about love in today’s time. It is learnt that Saif, Imtiaz and Eros International, co-producers with the actor-producer, have zeroed in on a few titles but the first two choices seem to be Aaj Kal and Love Aaj Kal. But they are still unsure which one to go ahead. If you ask us, well Love Aaj Kal sounds more youth-appealing and should look better than a Aaj Kal which sounds a bit dated. Saif is nowadays asking everyone he encounters which of these titles will suit the film better.

Akshay Deepika Upcoming Films / Movies Together

January 13th, 2009

Akshay Kumar is probably the only actor is B-Town who gives as much importance to the script of the film, as he does to his leading lady.

A lot of thought goes into his female co-stars. No wonder he has had hit jodis with many actresses like Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Priyanka Chopra.

AK believes in changing his leading ladies after a point. Even though the Akki-Katrina jodi is the hottest right now, the actor is thinking ahead and is replacing her with a younger, fresher face like Deepika Padukone. Akki and Kat will be seen later this year in De Dhana Dhan, their last film together on paper.

However Deepika and AK will be seen again in 2009 (after Chandni Chowk To China) in Sajid Khan's Houseful. And the pair is also in talks for another film for a big production house. It might be Come On Pappu directed by David Dhawan's son Rohit Dhawan.

Deepika Padukone sings on Indian Idol

January 6th, 2009

Deepika Padukone is the celebrity guest on Indian Idol this week. It is always a delight to meet this long legged beauty. Down to earth and a sport, she did not tire to shake a leg with the Indian Idol contestants no matter how many times she was called on stage. In fact she, like Priyanka Chopra, does not hesitate to croon whenever an opportunity arises. So she sang too and got the green signal from the judges and Annu Malek pronounced her the next Indian Idol.

Her talents do not end there. She trained in the martial arts for eight months for Chandni Chowk to China “So that the fight sequences with Akshay Kumar looked good!” On the spur of the moment she told the girls of Indian Idol, “I will show you girls a trick” and she did go up on stage and demonstrated a sleek cut so that they can defend themselves. She also learnt to speak in Chinese for the film but said she could not demonstrate that.

Watch her on Indian Idol 4 this Friday, January 9 at 9.00 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

Deepika Padukone is a money minded girl!

January 6th, 2009

Bollywood stars have always done cameos in films for the sake of friendship. From Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya, Shahrukh Khan, to Kareena, Sanjay Dutt, all have done it at some point or the other.

But OSO girl Deepika Padukone who celebrates her birthday today is still not ready to become like one of them. Even though Shah Rukh Khan gave her the first break, the actress can’t afford to be charitable with him. She readily accepted the cheque which SRK paid her for an item number in ‘Billo Barber’.

Billu Barber is SRK’s home production directed by Priyadarshan, starring Irrfan Khan, Lara Dutta and Shahrukh Khan.

On the other hand Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra returned the cheque of 40 lakh which Shahrukh offered them for appearances in the movie.

Bebo and Priyanka returned it by saying that they have done it for Shahrukh as he is their close friend and they share a good personal and professional relationship.

On the other hand Deepika deposited hers in her bank.

A source close to Deepika defends her, “Kareena and Priyanka can afford to forego their payment as they are established actresses; Deepika is starting out. She wouldn’t hear about being paid for her debut film as she felt obliged to Farah Khan and SRK for her break.”

Well, be it love or work, Deepika always has business on her mind.

Deepika-Ranbir’s affair goes kaput

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor became one of the hottest young B-Town couples right after they hooked up a little more than a year back.

They were hot property in tinsel town and got loads of film and endorsement offers. They became one of the most in demand couples in the industry. They got a lot of media spotlight too, much like Saif–Kareena and Abhi-Ash.

Their closeness caused a lot of heart ache for Ranbir’s once upon a time close friend Sonam Kapoor too.

But now it seems the two young stars’ love story has come to an abrupt end. If reports are to believed, the relationship is on the verge of ending.

It seems Deepika became upset when Ranbir came closer to Katrina during the shooting of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani’.

Even after a year together, they are yet to achieve one another’s trust. When Deepika doubted Ranbir about having an affair with Katrina, their relationship turned bitter. Ranbir became furious when he learnt that Deepika spied on him through an agent and broke up with her over phone.

Following the spat, Deepika has apparently tried to get over Ranbir by dating a mystery man. There have been lots of talks about how she and her new man turned up to watch ‘Ghajini’ at a multiplex.

Deepika has been known for her serial dating ways. She dated Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, model Nihar Pandhya before Ranbir.

Keeping her track record in mind, we feel that it won’t be difficult for her to get over Ranbir at all.

Deepika Padukone in Chandni Chowk To China

Actress Deepika Padukone is trying her hand in all kind of roles. The beautiful actress is now set to show her comedy side in Sajid Khan’s Houseful. After a little comedy role in Chandni Chowk To China, this is a full fledged comedy film and the actress is worrying about it. Akshay Kumar will play a male lead opposite her.

Deepika who played a double role in her debut Om Shani Om and upcoming Chandni Chowk To China, is trying her hand in every genre that very few Bollywood actresses dare to do.

Talking about Houseful, Deepika says, “My role in Houseful is not about just a few comic scenes here and there. It’s a total comic role. I wonder how I’ll manage it. Magar main koshish karungi. Sajid has a great sense of humor and I will go by his vision. Besides, if my director has so much confidence in me, then I just can not let him down.”

Personally reserved in real life, Deepika later added, “I do have a sense of fun and I plan to have a ball of a time doing Houseful. See, I am a reserved person in real life, but that does not mean I can’t be funny for the camera.”

Well soon we all see how much the audience appreciate her in a comic role?

Why Deepika Padukone envies her sister

By Subhash K Jha

It's been a time of horrendous homesickness for the rapidly on the rise Deepika Padukone.

"I've either been shooting out of the country or just been busy in Mumbai. It's been a really hectic time for me. I haven't been to my home in Bangalore for three years."

Now for Ganesh Chaturthi Deepika heads home to Bangalore. "I'm going home after three years. It feels really good."

But Ganesh Chaturthi is very big in Mumbai and also extremely important at her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's RK Studios.

Even if Ranbir would like to have her stay in Mumbai for the occasion Deepika is adamant.

"Ganesh Chaturthi is also a very big event in my home in Banglore. It's a time when my entire family including my sister, comes together.Or whatever remains of the family in Bangalore. A lot of my relatives are now in the US.

I've missed the occasion for the past three years. So I can't help it. I've to go home now. Am I religious? I don't go to the temple every day. But my God is right here in my heart. I believe in a force. And that keeps me grounded."

Interestingly Deepika's younger sister Alisha is a professional golfer.

Says the proud sister. "My sister is five years younger to me. I sometimes envy my sister. She has gone into sports, like my father. And she gets to play golf professionally. That's a unique position for a 19-year to be in. Acting seems rather ordinary in comparison."

In fact Deeepika's sister has recently got an offer for a film in their native language.

"That's right she has been offered a Kannada film. But she's absolutely not interested in a film career. One actress in the family is enough, " laughs.

The brings to the one roles that's on Deepika's wish list. "I'd love to do a sports film. Not neceassarily my dad's game badminton but any sport except cricket. I feel too much priority is given to cricket in our country. I'm so glad films on other sports like hockey and football are being made. I'd love to do film based on badminton."

Unconventional roles are coming Deepika's way without asking.

"When I was told that in Bachna Ae Haseenon I had to play an Indian cab driver in Australia who doesn't believe in marriage, I said I had to do this even if there were two other girls in the story.

Luckily for me I got along like a house on fire with Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba. Even if I hadn't I'd still have enjoyed doing the role thoroughly….And not because Ranbir was in it, " she adds quickly.
