No fancy foot work
No fancy foot work
Nandana Sen injured her ankle in Bangkok while shooting for a dance sequence with Viveik Oberoi. She has been recommended six weeks bed rest
Nandana Sen, whose Rang Rasiya is due to release soon, injured her ankle while doing a dance sequence opposite Viveik Oberoi on Wednesday evening, in Bangkok.
Wincing in pain in spite of heavy sedatives and her foot in a cast, Nandana said, "I've been prone to accidents since my childhood. I always keep bumping over and tripping into things. During Rang Rasiya I kept dancing with a cracked rib. The pain is still persistent.
While shooting for this same film in Capetown, I drove a motorbike at high speed from the roof of one skyscraper to another but thankfully there were no injuries. Meanwhile, here in Bangkok while shooting for a dance sequence with Viveik my foot gave way. Isn't that funny?"
What's funnier for Nandana is that the injury actually happened much before. She says, "I was shooting for an Indi-English film in New York when I badly sprained my ankle. I should have attended to it immediately then, but I continued to work. When I reached Bangkok and began shooting, my foot gave way. I wobbled and felt my leg become jelly. That's when I knew it was serious."
Apparently, the production in-charge took Nandana to the hospital and got her ankle treated and plastered. However, now the actress' schedules are all in a mess since she has been recommended six weeks bed rest. "I was supposed to get back to New York and resume my shoot after the Bangkok song. Now that's off. And I feel awful."
For now, it's a forced holiday for Nandana and her boyfriend Madhu Mantena, producer of Ghajini. Madhu, we hear left all his work, including efforts to transfer the Ghajini copyright-infringement case from the High Court to the Supreme Court, to go get his girl. "That's why they call him a go-getter," joked Nandana.
