Neetu Chandra hotter than Lara Dutta

Lara Dutta is a beautiful and hot heroine. She is a big name in Bollywood. She has come in for some high praise for her role in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Billu that hit the screens the other day.

Actress Neetu Chandra in comparison is a much junior actor and is still trying to make a mark. Neetu Chandra and Lara Dutta appeared in the film Sathyameva Jayathe. Neetu played a cop in the film.

While Lara Dutta appeared in an item song, Neetu appeared in an imaginary song where she dances and seduces Rajashekar.

The item song of Lara Dutta was pale and dull in comparison to the hot number of Neetu. In fact, Neetu sizzled like a top item girl in the song and displayed her assets liberally wearing skimpy outfits.

In comparison, Lara Dutta’s effort in the item song was a complete washout.

Lara sparkles in white on the cover of Man's World

Mumbai: Since the time she stormed onto the scene winning the Miss Universe title, there has been no looking back for Lara Dutta.

Lara is on every man's wish-list and hence it comes as no surprise to see the beautiful actress gracing the cover page of Man's World in the February issue.

Lara who has a major film Billu up for release this week is seen in a short white dress.

In an exclusive interview, Lara talks about her experiences portraying a de-glam role for the first time and how she feels proud to be known as a comedian.

Lara Dutta wears dirty sarees

The fact that Lara Dutta is essaying the role of a village housewife in Shahrukh Khan's home banner production Billu (earlier titled Billu Barber), is known to all who follow regular Bollywood news updates. But her character is so real and in keeping with the story line that any common village woman can relate to it.

As per the latest news, Lara wore a no make-up look throughout the film for the first time. Her sarees were old and crumpled, soaked in tea and dried. And she wore them because that fitted the character as she is essaying the role of a simple, in fact, poverty ridden wife of a common village barber. She also had to walk bare foot (which was very difficult) as her character could not afford to buy proper footwear.

Apart from Lara's (much talked about and reported) chance encounter with a snake, she also had to put up through some extremely hostile terrain when they went on location for the picturisation of a song. The unit had to walk through muddy water and pot holes since there was no proper road to the desired location. But when they reached the locale, the effort was worth it as the scenery there was breathtaking. Talk about perfection, this is as perfect as it can get! And we thought that this kind of dedication is only seen in off - beat movies!

Well, for that we must commend Lara (for putting up with such difficult situations), and the director Priyadarshan for giving so much thought to her character, as also the large hearted producer Gauri Khan. We are sure that apart from Shahrukh's extended appearance and his scintillating item numbers with top heroines and Irrfan Khan's characteristic but much loved style of acting, Lara's character will be one of the highlights of the film. And, for those who thought Priyan only makes senseless movies, Billu will surely prove to be an eye opener for his detractors.

Lara goes super-hot for Maxim mag

Mumbai : Lara Dutta is all set to take the glamour world by storm after posing sexily for the February issue of ‘Maxim’ magazine.

The actress, who is in news for her plain appearance in her upcoming film ‘Billu Barber’ opposite Irrfan Khan, has proved that she is not done with her uber-glam image. Lara has gone bold and wild on the mag pages - which exhibits her raw sex appeal to perfection.

After Katrina Kaif and Ameesha Patel, the sultry Lara Dutta`s was asked to pose for fashion magazine Maxim and she has done her job really well. The pretty former Miss Universe, is seen posing sexily in black and red coloured swimwear. She is also sporting a short chic hairdo.

The beautiful actress has various interesting film releases lined up this year. She plays a village woman in ‘Billu Barber’ and will also be seen in ‘Blue’ and ‘London Dreams’.

LARA DENIES MARRYING, ADMITS FRIENDSHIP WITH DINO

Though Lara Dutta has a large number of movies lined up in 2009, she is in the news for another reason - her friendship followed by her wedding with actor Dino Moreo. This news has created much buzz in the industry as well as among the movie viewers but she still continues to remain mum. Lara maintains that she shares a wonderful friendship with Dino Moreo because they have known each other since they were in school! "We have known each other since I was five years old. So just because people want me to proclaim my friendship with him, I am not going to do it." When asked about their marriage she emphatically denied it, and said, "There is certainly no wedding happening here.

You need to find a partner who supports you emotionally. I am yet to come across a person like that. However, I love spending time with Akki, Sallu, Sanju and my other co-stars. They make me do all sort of naughty things." Incidentally, Lara is too busy during the year in her forthcoming movies like 'Billu Barber', 'Banda yeh bindaas hai', 'Blue' and 'Do not Disturb'. Besides, the actress has discovered a new passion for scriptwriting. She has penned some three scripts for films and emphasizes that they are not "woman-oriented subjects. If I pen women oriented subjects, none of the hot selling men in the industry will work for me."

Lara Dutta launches her second website

In an attempt to increase her interaction with fans, Bollywood actress Lara Dutta has launched her second web portal www.mylaradutta.com on February 2. She had launched her first website laraduttaonline.com in Paris last year.

Says the actress, "The website will have all the anecdotes, facts and pictures that my fans always want to check about me."

"For those who don't have net connectivity they can download information about me through mobile", adds the actress.

Lara Dutta also made clear that there is no wedding plans between Dino and her.

"I share a wonderful friendship with him, but there is no wedding happening here. You need to find a partner who supports you emotionally. I am yet to find a person like that.

Lara Dutta Graces Grazia

A stunning Lara Dutta can be seen gracing the front cover of Grazia this month in a red wine satin gown with a plunging neckline and lying just a little off the shoulder in Grazia’s elegant style. After a quiet year last year, this year’s going to be a busy promotional whirlwind for Lara as she appears in three greatly anticipated movies, Billu Barber with Irfan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan; Blue with Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan; and Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai with Tabu, Govinda and Boman Irani. In addition, she is currently working on David Dhawan’s Do Knot Disturb, also with Govinda and Ranvir Shorey; and is earmarked for yet another production of Devdas, this time with Shiney Ahuja and Chitrangada Singh. At this stage, it’s difficult to see what yet another production could bring.

It was awe-inspiring.”

Mumbai: Actress Lara Dutta is launching yet another website mylaradutta.com on February 2. She had in 2007 launched a portal laraduttaonline.com in Paris but looks like the new site will be her official page for her fans.

A source close to the star says, "This website will have an interactive blog which Lara will update regularly. Her fans can chat with her too through her site. It will also have some exclusive pictures of Lara right from when she was a child, her growing up years, her modelling days to pictures clickedby some of the bestBollywood and fashion photographers."

Lara-Dino: What's cooking?

Lara Dutta and Dino Morea have been trying to promote themselves as the latest couple on the block.

Though they insist on keeping their relationship under wraps, they often turn up at social dos and parties together, and set the tongues wagging.

According to Lara’s friends, she doesn’t want any controversies and is therefore keeping mum on her relationship with Dino.

So, even if she is spotted at events with the actor, she chooses not to speak about it the way she used to talk about her relationship with former beau Kelly Dorjee.

The actress seems to have learnt a lesson after her break-up with Kelly.

Eros to release Billu Barber worldwide on 13 February

MUMBAI: Eros International will release Red Chillies Entertainment's Billu Barber worldwide on 13 February, 2009.

The movie which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Irrfan Khan and Lara Dutta and has been directed by Priyadarshan, will have its advance previews in the UK on 12 February.

Billu Barber is a slice of life, feel-good musical with elements of romance, comedy and drama.

It's official: Dino Morea is dating Lara Dutta

Dino Morea and Lara Dutta have been spotted at every nook and corner of Mumbai and finally a source close to the couple leaked the information that the duo are dating each other.

According to the source, the couple doesn't want to come out in the open about their relationship as they feel awkward about it.

Dino Morea who previously dated Bipasha Basu earlier declared that he was happy being single and is not seeing anybody. He always categorically stated that Lara is a good friend. Lara Dutta broke up with Kelly Dorjee, her boyfriend of 8 years recently.

Now the actor has admitted that he is "close to Lara".

Lara Dutta’s item number for Luck

After doing a special appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi Lara will be seen in an item number along with Imraan Khan for his forthcoming film Luck.

It is known that Lara who worked with Soham in his first film Kaal shares a good rapport with Soham. He too has always been full of praises for Lara. However when it came to an item number Soham couldn’t think of anyone except Lara. He requested her and Lara who has completed shooting of most of her films agreed to do it.

According to a unit hand Lara has done this song only for Soham. She will be seen shaking leg with newcomer Imraan Khan. Luck is an action packed film that introduces Kamal Hasan’s daughter Shruti Hasan opposite Imraan Khan. it also stars Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Danny Denzongpa, Ravi Kissen and Rati Agnihotri in prominent roles.
