Irrfan Khan Divya Dutta Lip Kissing Scene in HISS

February 19th, 2009

Irrfan Khan and Divya Dutta have shot for one of the boldest and longest love-making scene in Jennifer Lynch's Hiss. The scene has a long passionate lip-lock between the two actors.

Our source from the unit says, "Irrfan and Divya had to shoot for a scene which required them to be lip-locked for a long time. The scene was shot in Kerala sometime ago. Initially both Irrfan and Divya had reservations about shooting the scene as it was very long and passionate, and had to be shot in front of the entire unit. The director Jennifer Lynch instructed them to remain in that position and not to break the lip-lock until she asked them to do so."

We called Divya Dutta, who confirmed the news but did not wish to give any details. However, Irrfan Khan was more forthcoming, he said, "Yes, we do have a very lengthy and passionate kiss, but it was the requirement of the script. In the film we both go through some crisis and the love-making scene happens after that."

When asked if the scene was shot in front of the entire unit, he said, "Yes we had to shoot the passionate love-making scene in front of the entire unit, it was very embarrassing. We were not allowed to take a break."

Koena Mitra’s Kicking Up A Storm

February 17th, 2009

Hot action girl Koena Mitra is busy on four projects at once and it’s not just her head that’s spinning. "I have just finished shooting Ayan with South superstar Surya. It was an item song and I had a blast doing those really fast paced heavy duty dance numbers," she says. The film also stars Tamanna. Koena doesn’t normally do item songs anymore, even though she is a trained dancer, but apparently the money she was offered was so good, she couldn’t turn it down.

She’s also been involved in a Hong Kong action movie, which she hopes will give her a much higher profile internationally. "Koena has had to go in for intense physical training for this film,” says a source, “She has trained in Tai Chi, fast running and kick boxing. The special effects film will certainly put Koena in the top league."

Then there’s a sci-fi movie with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Aa Dekhen Zara, and a cop thriller. That’s a heavy schedule for a girl who was only seen in one minor movie last year. “I would rather play the waiting game then do something that I am not confident about, “she explains, “Look at Anamika, my last release. The film was not backed by financially solvent producers and the film could not be marketed. What is the point in investing so much time and energy in a project that will not be viewed by the public?” Anamika also starred Dino Morea and Minissha Lamba, and although it was a decent movie, it disappeared without trace.

Happy Birthday to Sadha

February 17th, 2009

Sadha debuted to cinema with 'Jayam' in Telugu opposite Nithin which was again remade in Tamil with the same title starring Ravi in the lead. She played the role of a naive and young village girl with ease that appeased the audience in entirety. Her famous dialogue to this date remains the 'Poya…Po' from 'Jayam'.

She also won the Best Newcomer Filmfare Award for the film which gave her a break in the career. 'Mona Lisa' was her first Kannada film following which she did films like 'Ethiree', 'Priyasakhi', 'Unnale Unnale' (Tamil), 'Avunannaa Kaadannaa', 'Chukkallo Chandrudum', 'Takkari' (Telugu) and 'Mohini' (Kannada).

Shankar's 'Anniyan' starring Vikram and Sadha in the lead was the biggest hit in her career which was also made in Telugu titled 'Aparchithudu'. Sadha exhibited a captivating performance in the role of an egoistic girl in 'Priyasakhi' and 'Unnale Unnale' which still lingers in the minds of the audience. She has also ventured into Bollywood with 'Khalbali' and 'Dil to Deewana Hai' that are in post production stage now.

Considered as one of the riveting actresses in cinema, Sadhaaf alias Sadha is a Marathi born but ardently learnt and became affluent in South Indian languages that paved her way to be a star. With offers lining up, Sadha is on the stride to become one among the top heroines. We wish a very happy birthday for the star who celebrates her 25th birthday today on 17th February.

Neetu Chandra hotter than Lara Dutta

February 17th, 2009

Lara Dutta is a beautiful and hot heroine. She is a big name in Bollywood. She has come in for some high praise for her role in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Billu that hit the screens the other day.

Actress Neetu Chandra in comparison is a much junior actor and is still trying to make a mark. Neetu Chandra and Lara Dutta appeared in the film Sathyameva Jayathe. Neetu played a cop in the film.

While Lara Dutta appeared in an item song, Neetu appeared in an imaginary song where she dances and seduces Rajashekar.

The item song of Lara Dutta was pale and dull in comparison to the hot number of Neetu. In fact, Neetu sizzled like a top item girl in the song and displayed her assets liberally wearing skimpy outfits.

In comparison, Lara Dutta’s effort in the item song was a complete washout.

Imtiaz Ali granted bail

February 13th, 2009

Ratlam: A local court has granted bail to Bollywood film 'Jab We Met' Director Imtiaz Ali, who was charged of portraying Ratlam as centre of prostitution in his film.

Ali appeared before Judicial Magistrate Geeta Solanki's court yesterday. The court granted bail to the accused on his furnishing a bail bond of Rs 5,000 with one surety of the like amount.

Advocate Yogesh Sharma filed a petition against Ali, and producer Ashtavinayak of the film for defaming the town by showing it as a hub for prostitution.

The Court had directed the production company and the director to appear in the court earlier. However, producers of the movie had appeared in the court and were granted bail but Imtiaz had failed to appear.

The court had issued arrest warrant against Ali on Dec 27.

Lead actors Sahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were exempted from the case.

The date of next hearing was fixed on February 18.

Talking to the reporters, Ali said he did not nurture any intention to defame it.

He said he always watched Ratlam station on his way from Delhi to Mumbai and developed an urge to see it closely.

''Hence, when I was making the film I decided to include Ratlam Station in the script besides Bhatinda and Simla,'' Ali said claiming that he did not include any scene to defame the town.

Later, the director left for Indore to fly down to Mumbai.

Isha Sharwani gearing up for her big dance drama

Excited with the great feed back she received for her role as a pampered star kid in Luck By Chance, Isha Sharwani is now looking forward to the big dance drama she is presently busy rehearsing with. This dance theater production is titled Kali and it opens on April 3rd.

Isha, who spends most of her time in Kerala rehearsing her dance routines states, “Kali is a dance theatre production which tells the story of the three realms of existence that we live in. There is the subterranean realm which is elemental, primordial and subconscious, the conscious realm which is the terrestrial plane and the transcendental plane which is spiritual. All these three realms exist within us. As they say ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ which means God is Within Us. It is a very big dance theater drama. It will release on April 3. We are working towards getting it ready right now.”

Speaking about her rehearsal routine Isha further states, “I don’t have a fixed rehearsal pattern. We normally start rehearsing at 6.30 in the morning. At 8 o’ clock we take a half hour break and then dance from 8.30 to 10.30. We then take another break for half an hour, after which we take an hour’s break for lunch at 1.30. We finish rehearsing by 4 pm. We encompass martial arts, yoga and the dance training for the show. In the morning sessions we do a warm up: flexibility and strength training, yoga and martial Arts. We train for the show once this is done.”

Valentine weekend looks bright!

February 12th, 2009

Three Tamil films- Siva Manasula Sakthi, Perumal and Kudiyarasu are releasing for the Valentine weekend (Feb 13 to 15).

Then there is Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures first English film distribution Outlander and Priyadarshan’s Kuselan remake Biloo.

Among the lot Vikatan Talkies Siva Manasula Sakthi looks ideal for Valentine weekend. A boy Jeeva meets girl Anuya love-hate relationship, super songs by Yuvan and urban feel about it. But without the backing of Sun Pictures can it work at the box-office?

Sundar.C's long delayed Perumal is due for release this Friday after repeated postponements. A typical B and C kind of mass masala, with Namitha and Meenakshi for glamour. Nothing much is known about Kudiarasu, said to be inspired by the Watergate scandal!

Sun Pictures is promoting the new action hero Jim Caviezel's Outlander and its dubbed Tamil version aggressively through their channels. It's a decent action movie and provides solid entertainment and is sure to be lapped up by our audiences who likes this kind of films.

Biloo, Priyadarshan's remake of Kuselan has been lukewarm with the theatres in Tamilnadu. It is only releasing in Chennai and there is no hype around it.

Vijay Fans Network (VFN) web site shuts down with Huge Disappointment

February 12th, 2009

Vijay’s Fans (Vijay Fans Network -VFN ) who were running actor official fan website (vijaynet.com) have decided to close the site as they not been supported at all.

This is the message one can see at VFN (Vijay Fans Network) website

Dear Fans,

We have to mention this with huge disappointment that we are closing down Vijay Fans Network (VFN). We are extremely disappointed at taking this step but we are forced to do it because we have not been getting the required material support (official and exclusive news, exclusive stills, etc) from the officials of Vijay’s office. We started off a site that would run based on the support that it got from them, which we have almost stopped receiving off late. We are also very much hurt at the ways by which people try to take credit for whatever work that we have done for this site. We as a network of students have built this fans network without any financial support from everyone (and we are willing to continue without any financial support) but we are not willing in any way to give a part of the credit that we deserve for our work. There are some people out there who do not want Vijay to progress forward and we feel that we are not fit enough to fight out a battle with them. We tried to salvage this site as much as possible but it has now gone beyond our control that we want to give it up once and for all. We have our own lives to take care of and we are now planning to move ahead with our lives. We will still remain diehard fans of Vijay but we will only continue watching and enjoying his films.
We would like to thank all the fans who have supported us throughout the time that we were running this site. We will still cherish those moments when our site was its peak. We wish Vijay all the very best on his future.

In this Tamil remake, she donning the role of an avenging angel, played by Nayantara in the original. "I trained for a couple of days to get the postures and kicks right," she reveals. Divya Dutta gets abusive in Delhi 6

February 11th, 2009

Divya Dutta, who will be seen in the much-awaited Delhi 6 has reportedly used a very crass dialect in film. Divya has been given a total gypsy look and essays the role of a local hottie called 'Jalebi' who uses the typical Mardon ki Bhaasha!

What's more, her trainers for the same were none other than the whole cast and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra himself who used to teach the actress the choicest of gaalis and the tone of voice.

Apparently, the sweet and bubbly actress has spoken words that she has never even heard, let alone used in her life! "At first, I was very apprehensive about the whole thing but then I just got used to it; I felt like one of the guys. I remember when I had to deliver my first dialogue, the cameraman had this weird expression on his face. I got so scared but then suddenly everyone broke into an applause, which was very flattering. Rakeysh and everyone have been very supportive and encouraging throughout," says Divya.

Aishwarya could be the new 'Rani Laxmibai'

February 11th, 2009

Mumbai: As soon as Sushmita Sen's directorial debut project on Rani Laxmibai was shelved, director Ketan Mehta decided to revive his own project on Rani Laxmibai.

Ketan Mehta has taken the decision to revive Rani Laxmibai after hearing that Sushi Sen's film based on the same subject has been shelved. Aishwarya Rai might play the title role in Ketan's film.

Sushmita Sen's loss is Ketan Mehta's gain. After Sushmita's directorial debut based on Rani Laxmibai was shelved, Ketan Mehta wasted no time in grabbing the opportunity to revive his magnum opus based on the same subject. Incidentally, Ketan had aborted his project after he got to know that Sushmita was making a film on similar lines.

But now, with Sushmita shelving her project, Ketan is more than happy to revive his project. A source said, "When Ketan learnt that Sushmita is no longer making Rani Laxmibai, he immediately got back into action to revive his erstwhile abandoned project. He is now working on the film and is also in talks with Aishwarya Rai to play the title role."

Rukhsaar upset with director over the nude scene controversy in The Stoneman Murders

Its been nearly a year since the nude scene controversay happened between Rukhsaar and the director & producers but she is still upset with them and refuses to talk about it, even on the eve of the release of the film on Friday the 13th.

The whole story started when Rukhsaar shot a backless scene for the film. In an interview the director and the production house Vistaar Religare referred to this scene as a nude scene instead of a backless scene. This caused a lot of discomfort between Rukhsaar and her family. When the interview got printed her family believed that Rukhsaar had done an actual nude scene and not a backless scene. However, since the interview gave the impression that she shot the scene nude, has left Rukhsaar cold. Not only this, her family is believed to have instructed her to leave Bollywood forever and come back to her native place in Uttar Pradesh after this incident.

To this date Rukhsaar refuses to discuss the matter with anyone and steadfastly refuses to speak to the director Manish Gupta.
