Aamir Khan’s good Samaritan act

January 9th, 2009

Knowing how perfect and choosy Aamir Khan is, it was a pleasant surprise for producer Sunil Bohra when Aamir himself offered to be on his show Face the Review on Zoom for the second time. Aamir was first called for the review of Ghajini and the actor liked the format of calling a star on the first day first show of the film and having a one-on-one interaction with the audiences, that he wanted to return to the show for the yearly winding up.

And he very much deserved to be on the show again because his latest blockbuster Ghajini had made unprecedented business in the day of recession and tough times. While Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi made big time moolah while all the other films were flopping, Ghajini wasn’t to be left behind either. When everyone wants to save up each and every penny, Aamir’s fans flocked to the theatres to see Ghajini. And who can forget Aamir’s look being copied by young guns of India. So Face the Review re-invited Aamir.

But when Aamir came for the shooting of the episode, Bohra knew that something was amiss, since Aamir looked a bit worked up. Then it was revealed that Aamir witnessed the accident of an 83-year-old Moti Jhangiani by two motorcycle riders. But, unlike others, Aamir wasn’t just a witness, he had his security guards take Jhangiani to a hospital and was constantly in touch with them over the phone. Even amidst all the fanfare, Aamir hasn’t forgotten to be a gentleman and a good human being.
