Sonali celebrates her b’day sans a resolution


Mumbai, Jan 01: It`s time when most B-town celebs are deciding their New Year resolution. Kailash Kher, Javed Akhtar, Anu Malik and Sonali Bendre, the judges of popular TV show ‘Indian Idol 4’, were recently about their resolution for 2009, and the answers were the most unexpected.

Instead of revealing their own plans, they started taking a dig on each other. Javed Akhtar said that Anu`s resolution would be to hang all the contestants he dislikes on the show. Retaliating to which Anu Malik said that he wished that Javed Saab would love Anu Malik in the coming year.

However, Kailash Kher chose to speak about himself and announced that instead of an album every year he is going to bring one out every two years for the sake of selectiveness. And the delicate darling Sonali put an end to the debate by saying she never makes New Year`s resolutions.

Javed Akhtar also revealed that the secret behind Sonali’s decision of not keeping a resolution is that it is her birthday on the first of January and she is too busy on that day to make any resolutions.

Well, for now, we would just like to wish Sonali a very Happy Birthday!

Tanisha Mukherjee (born 1 January 1978 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India), known as Tanisha, is a Bollywood actress. Tanisha is of Bengali-Marathi descent. Tanisha comes from a prominent film industry family, which has been working in Bollywood since 1940s. Her relatives include paternal grandfather Sashadhar Mukherjee, uncles Joy Mukherjee and Deb Mukherjee, great-grandmother Rattan Bai, grandmother Shobhna Samarth and aunt Nutan.

Her father is Somu Mukherjee and her mother is actress Tanuja. Her sister is popular actress Kajol whilst her cousins are Mohnish Behl, Sharbani Mukherjee and Rani Mukherjee. Tanisha's paternal grandfather was a film director and producer who had left a great achievement in the Bombay film industry and was regarded as a stalwart. His wife Satirani Devi, Tanisha's grandmother was the sister of three great film personality Ashok Kumar, Anoop Kumar and Kishore Kumar.

She made her debut with Sssshhh (2003) opposite Dino Morea. The film did not do well. Following releases didn't do very well at the box office either. Tanisha's first hit film was Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar (2005), which starred film legend Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan. Recently, she played the female lead character of Nikkita "Nikki" Bakshi in "Neal N Nikki", which failed to make an impact at the box office.

Gracy Singh was born in Delhi in a Punjabi family. She had actively participated in her school plays and dances. Gracy Singh was so passionate about dancing that she learnt classical dance during her vacations. After schooling Gracy Singh started her career as dancer in the dance group "The Planets" along with Ronica Jacobs. She was spotted by Sanjiv Bhattacharya in one of her dance shows and Gracy Singh was offered the role of 'Dinky' in the soap opera "Amaanat".
