SRK mends bridges with Manoj Kumar

Signaling the end of the bitter war that ensued between Shah Rukh Khan and yesteryear actor Manoj Kumar with the release of Om Shanti Om in 2007, Shah Rukh visited Manoj recently and spent nearly four hours with him.

He shared some light moments with Manoj’s grandchildren too. Shah Rukh also went to enquire after the health of Manoj’s ailing mother-in-law, Savita Devi, who is SRK’s late mother’s good friend.

Says Manoj, “Look, there wasn’t ever an epic war between us that we wouldn’t meet again. He made a mistake and apologised for it. My 94-year-old mother-in-law had to be recently operated upon, and Shah Rukh wanted to meet her. My mother-in-law used to make khakras for Gandhiji. She is a former MP from Congress and Shah Rukh’s mother was a social worker, that’s how they met.”

Ask him more about the visit and Manoj continues, “Shah Rukh asked me why I was not making films anymore. I asked him what his problem was if I don’t make any and just rest at home. We joked about it. It was nice to meet him, I hardly interact with present day stars. I’ve just spoken to Aamir Khan over phone. And imagine, I haven’t met Salman since the last 19 years, despite his father, Salim Khan, being one of my closest friends.”

Kavita Krishnamurti wins K Yesudas Award

Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam was awarded the Swaralaya Yesudas Best Singer Award, in Trivandrum Kerala. The award ceremony was held at the glittering open air Nishagandhi Auditorium and the award was presented to Kavita Krishnamurti in front of a packed audience by K Yesudas himself. This ceremony also featured performances by both artists. The audience comprised of the Who's Who of Trivandrum. Previously this award has also been given to music director A R Rahman.

Kavita Krishnamurti is one of Bollywood's best known and best loved singers and has won numerous awards including the coveted Padma Shree and four filmfare awards.

Ranbir: Mad about Madhuri!

Ranbir Kapoor is one boy who speaks his mind instead of playing it boring like girlfriend Deepika. Be it talking about his infamous 'towel' scene in SAAWARIYA or even lip-locking, the youngster has no qualms in revealing the interesting stuff of his life.

After having confessed his love for Deepika a hundred times over, Ranbir was asked whom he would like to take out on a date if given the chance, besides girlfriend Deeps! Put him in a spot? Nah! RK was quick enough to say, ''Madhuri!'' ''Madhuri Dixit was my first crush'' revealed the actor...

With Mads and hubby Nene in Mumbai city currently, we wonder how the couple is going to react to this honest confession!

Ajay Devgan shift's home!

Well, no not permanently... but the actor has shifted base to his farmhouse in Karjat for a brief period of time. Wonder why? Ajay who is shooting for Vipul Shah's LONDON DREAMS at the ND Studio in Karjat, has considered it better to settle closer to the shooting premises. And coming to rescue is his farmhouse!

We sure think it might be bliss for Ajay Devgan now, whose farmhouse is just ten minutes away from the shooting spot. We wonder if Salman Khan also plans to do somewhat the same considering his little abode is not too far away in Panvel.

But nevertheless, we think they are any day better off than Hrithik Roshan who probably wishes he himself owned a farmhouse in Karjat, which would have spared him all the hectic (and expensive) chopper tours during his shooting of JODHAA AKBAR!

New Buddies in B-Town

There is a buzz in B-Town that Katrina Kaif has signed a film opposite Ajay Devgan. The rumour also suggests that the film will be Ajay's home production and will be directed by Rohit Shetty. We will need to wait and see if the information turns out to be true.

If the news be true, then we can assume that this new development came through due to the new found friendship of Ajay and Salman Khan. According to reports, both the leading men were having a great time in each other's company during the shoot of Vipul Shah's 'London Dreams'.

It is said that Ajay and Salman came to know about each other more during the shoot of this eagerly awaited flick and used to hang out a lot. Ajay is known to play pranks during the shoot.

Salman seems to have joined Ajay in having fun, have a smoke between the shots and share drinks after the day's work. Ajay is said to have got completely surprised after knowing that in spite of the cold weather Salman is totally avoiding alcohol during the Chandigarh schedule.

If the intended film becomes a reality, it will be Ajay's and Kat's first time onscreen pairing which is going to be the curiosity factor.

Katrina Kaif Inaugurates a Spa

Katrina Kaif, flying high after the success of her films, is among the top actresses in Bollywood. So who would be better to launch a spa than the pretty girl Katrina?

Speaking at the event Katrina talks about the spa and recommends it as the ideal way to relax. With a glowing complexion like hers, she surely follows her own advice to the hilt.

"What they're trying to do here is blend modern technology with Ayurvedic principles and treatments. It is important not to mislead people... It is important to explain to your clientele exactly what this spa is about, and this is a place you come to now and then for physical treatment as well as for mental relaxation; it's an entire experience," reveals Katrina.

Now we wonder if this is where we can find Katrina after she gets off the sets following a grueling day's work. Any guesses?
