Farah Khan declines Berlin fest jury invite


Mumbai, Jan 3(IANS) Citing prior commitments, Bollywood choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan has declined an invitation to serve on the main jury of the 59th Berlin International Film Festival - the Berlinale - Feb 5-15."I have been invited to be on the main jury of the Berlin Film Festival," Farah, who is credited with hits like "Main Hoon Na" and Om Shanti Om, old IANS, adding that the 10-day schedule was too demanding and she had instead decided to be there just for three days as a panellist for a forum that will be a part of the renowned film festival.

"I would have to be there for 10 days but my schedule for 'Nach Baliye' and more importantly, my babies, don't permit me to do so. But because Om Shanti Om was so popular there, they do want me to attend the festival. So I'll be going for a shorter time," she said.

Farah is married to film editor and director Shirish Kunder and is a mother of triplets. These days, she is busy judging Star Plus' dance reality show "Nach Baliye 4".
